Account Setup

Overview

Racery has two types of accounts: organizer accounts for people who set up and manage races, and participant accounts for people who join and compete. This guide covers how to get set up with either type.

Organizer Account

Organizer accounts give you access to the race dashboard where you can create races, manage participants, configure settings, and view analytics.

How to Get Started

Visit racery.com and click "Talk with Our Team" or "Request a Demo". A Racery representative will help you:

  • Set up your organization account
  • Configure your first race
  • Grant dashboard access to co-organizers

Tip: Multiple people in your organization can have organizer access. Ask your primary contact to add co-organizers through the dashboard.

Participant Account

Participants join races through one of two methods:

Email Invitation

When your organizer sends invitations, you will receive an email with a one-click join link. Click the link to create your account and join the race automatically.

Self-Registration

For open events, your organizer may share a registration URL. Visit the link, enter your name and email, and you are in.

Mobile App

The Racery mobile app is available for both iOS and Android. With the app you can:

  • Log activities on the go
  • View your position on the virtual route map
  • Check leaderboards and team standings
  • Share photos and comments
  • Receive push notifications for milestones and team updates

Download from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and sign in with the same email you used to register.

Profile & Bio

After joining a race, personalize your profile to make the experience more social:

  • Avatar: Upload a photo of yourself
  • Display name: How you appear on leaderboards and the activity feed
  • Location: Pin your physical location on the pre-race map so teammates can see where you are joining from
  • Bio text: A short description visible to other racers

Tip: Adding your location helps build a sense of community, especially in large organizations with offices across different regions.

Notification Settings

Racery sends several types of notifications to keep you engaged:

  • Daily activity reports: A summary of yesterday's activity in your race
  • Progress milestones: When you reach 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% of the route
  • Overtake alerts: When you pass another racer on the leaderboard
  • Social updates: Likes, comments, and message board posts from other racers

You can manage your notification preferences from your profile settings or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email.
