Leaderboards & Activity Feed
Overview
Racery races feature individual and team leaderboards alongside a real-time activity feed. Together, they create a sense of shared presence — participants may not be in the same physical space, but they're clearly in the same mindframe and spirit.
Individual Leaderboard
The individual leaderboard ranks all participants by total miles logged. It updates in real time as activities are submitted, so you can watch your position shift throughout the race.
Click on any racer's name to view their bio page, which shows their avatar, team, activity history, and any bling they've earned.
Team Leaderboard
When a race includes teams, the team leaderboard aggregates all members' miles into a team total. This drives friendly competition between departments, offices, or custom groups.
Team leaderboards are especially effective in corporate races where participants who don't consider themselves competitive still feel motivated to contribute to their team's success.
Activity Feed
The real-time activity feed shows a continuous stream of logged activities as they're submitted. Each entry includes:
- The participant's name and avatar
- Activity type and distance (e.g., "Running — 3.2 miles")
- Personal records when achieved (new streak, longest run, etc.)
- Optional location for the activity
- A 360-degree Google Street View of the avatar's current virtual location
The feed creates ambient awareness of other participants — even when working remotely, you can see that colleagues across the country are doing something together.
Street View
Each activity log includes a 360-degree Google Street View image from the avatar's current position on the virtual route. This "virtual tourism" element lets participants explore the locations their route passes through as they accumulate miles.
Tip: Click on the Street View image in the activity feed to explore the area in full 360-degree view.
Personal Records
Racery automatically tracks personal milestones and highlights them in the activity feed:
- Streaks: Consecutive days of logging activity
- Longest activity: Your single highest-mileage day
- Total miles: Cumulative distance milestones
These records appear as callouts in the feed, giving other participants a reason to cheer you on.
